Concept Overview

Corpus Terræ is a monumental sculptural infrastructure embedded directly into the ground and culminating in a 50-foot vertical monolith. It pulses not metaphorically, but literally, with light. This rhythmic, glowing anatomy mimics the arterial system of the human body and the hidden mycelial networks that weave beneath forest floors. It is both beacon and body, a sacred relic, a circuit of memory and life.

Composed of modular bronze veinwork encased in translucent resin, the piece is engineered for longevity, maintenance, and layered symbolism. As viewers walk its surface, they trace the buried life systems of the planet and their own physiology. At the furthest reach of the capillary system, the sculpture transitions from ground to sky: roots become trunks, veins become branches, and a 50-foot monolith crowned by a bronze tree emerges from the earth.

The monolith is formed from seamless interlocking resin blocks, each embedded with bronze veins and lit from within. Its internal pulse mirrors the glowing rhythm below, completing the circuit between what lies beneath and what strives above.
